Chirping Canaries

United were outdone by ‘poor’ refereeing from Mr. Haines who looked lost in the middle and failed spot decisions for either team – also didn’t like handing the team in possession the much needed advantage and was quick to blow for a foul.

Refereeing decisions a side it was welcoming to see such a spirited performance, one which was lacked under Mr. Adams predecessors. The Blades totally dominated the first half and were arguably unlucky not to bulge the net and take the game to Norwich.

I’m sure Delia herself rang the cry’s of ‘let’s be having you’ as City came out better in the second half, overall again it was a great performance from our fresh defence and maybe by the time this goes to print new faces will have appeared in the dressing room.

Marcus Bent is indeed in need of a mention, his performance on Saturday was class and he brought a new shape and meaning to our game, he certainly was the difference during that first 45 minutes. I admit I wasn’t impressed by his signing and felt that it would be a waste of a wage but first impressions count; I only hope that his rich vein of form continues for the remainder of the season.

Due to the FA Cup, United are out of action this weekend; though Leicester are at the Lane next Tuesday were we hope Micky will claim his first win as Blades manager.

Up the Blades!
