Play-offs or no play-offs?

Cardiff City players have dubbed the game as the 'biggest of the season'. Earlier this week, Stephen McPhail, one of the Bluebirds' key midfielders, said: “I feel the Sheffield United game is the biggest of the season for us. We can really stretch our lead to eight points and that is a large gap to make up for the chasing pack."

He's spot on, absolutely spot on! The Blades MUST get a win tomorrow (Wednesday). They can reduce the gap between themselves and Cardiff to two, but a Cardiff win would see it extended to eight. Would a draw be good enough?

City's goal difference is far superior than Sheffield United's, and victories for Blackpool and Middlesbrough this (Tuesday) evening sees the Blades dropping down two places to ninth. Swansea's rather surprising 5:1 loss to Blackpool this (Tuesday) evening drags them back into the shake-up, and they looked home and dry just a few weeks ago.

Dave Jones' men, meanwhile, have two games in hand - one against us and one against promotion hopefuls Leicester.

United have only one fully fit striker for the trip to Cardiff, and that's the in-form Richard Cresswell. Chris Morgan is also unlikely to feature with an injury, and there's umpteen other injured players we should all know by now.

The lads who step out on to the pitch can only do their best, and hopefully they'll come away with the right result - a wrong result virtually sees the Blades saying bye bye to season 2009/2010.

The support in Wales tomorrow won't be the largest following you'll ever see, but those who are descending to Cardiff will hopefully sing their hearts out and push the lads on to a crucial, crucial victory.

Come on you Red and White Wizards!

Up the Blades!
