A statement on the club's official website read: "The next stage is that we look towards achieving the retail that is required to develop the cross subsidy.
"The retail is required to pay for the land, pay for the infrastructure, as well as provide a cross-subsidy for the football club to part-fund the new stadium.
"It is very, very important that the right retailer is found, and the right retailer scheme is put together.
"Our over-riding intention is to deliver the scheme by August 2010. Previously it was thought it would be 2009 but given the planning issue, we now believe that it is more realistic that 2010 is a practical delivery date."
