Phil Roe has been on the Blades books for a couple of years and has come close to making his United debut; he was included as an unused substitute in the clubs' 2-0 defeat at Hartlepool United in a League Cup earlier on in the 2010-11 campaign.

A left full-back by trade but can also operate in a midfield role. He was sent out on loan to gain experience and teamed up with ex-Blade Paul Shaw on a month's loan at Evo-Stik outfit Retford United.

He made his debut for the Cannon Park club in a 2-1 defeat at Ossett Town on 9^th October 2010.
