Supporters already know which teams who they will be facing in their domestic league but will be eager to find out who they face on the opening day, will they be home or away?
The Football League season shall begin on Saturday, 6th August, one week prior to the Premier League. The season will end on Sunday, 30th April 2017.
Supposedly leaked fixtures through social media outlet Facebook suggested that Sheffield United would start the 2016/17 League One campaign at home to Oldham Athletic. It is unlikley that this will be true but shall be interesting to see once the fixtures have been announced.
The fixtures are released on Wednesday, 22nd June 2016 at approximatly 9:00AM.
