9 In Summer Departure

Sheffield United will allow former Birmingham City and Brentford striker Clayton Donaldson to leave on a free transfer this summer whilst a further 7 players have been placed on the transfer list.

Donaldson, 34 scored 5 goals, including twice on his debut in his 29 appearances for the Blades since joining for a nominal fee from Birmingham City in August 2017. The majority of his appearances were as a substitute.

United have also transfer listed eight players. Keeper George Long, Chris Hussey and Louis Reed were out on season’s long loans and are deemed surplus to requirements. Meanwhile Ben Heneghan, Nathan Thomas, Samir Carruthers, James Hanson and Caolan Lavery have also been put up for sale.
