The Chief was mainly used as a substitute last season and only managed three goals but has been brought in to replace Glynn Hurst who has joined Nott's County.

He said: "I am really looking forward to the start of the new season as I have an important role to play, which should help bring the best out of the younger players at Chesterfield."
