He said: "I'm hoping to continue my career in England. The football is great here and I love the place. I would be happy to stay at Sheffield United or another club in England if they can reach an agreement with Fiorentina.
"I could stay at Fiorentina as I am under contract there, but I am keen to be playing regularly and if I can't get that at Fiorentina I will look elsewhere.
I would love to play in the Premier League as every player wants to play in the best league in the world.
"Hopefully I can help Sheffield United reach the Premier League and then play there with them. It all depends on Fiorentina and we will wait and see what happens in the summer."
