Hendo scored his first goal today in four months to beat the opposition at the Lane. Henderson returned today to replace James Beatties position as a striker, he headed home an early winner for the Blades from a Webber cross just after the 17 minute mark.

United was lucky not to have conceded as Wes Hoolahan hit the woodwork with a header just before half time. Norwich striker Arturo Lupoli also hit the crossbar in the second half but the almighty Blades managed to keep the 3 point lead.

Kevin Blackwell added:
"I think if we'd have taken our chances, we'd have made it slightly easier but we didn't and Norwich have the ability to come back so it was important we kept our concentration at the end, The clean sheet is a big one."

Just before the start, the boss said United have lined up a replacement for Beattie as he is in high-demand as the transfer window will be shortly revealed. Hull, Fulham and Newcastle are all sniffing around as the blades have been offered a cheap some of money for him by Stoke. (£2.5m)

Kevin McCabe, Chairman of the club said:
"We've had an approach, we are talking to the club but no deal has been done. If the deal goes through we have a replacement all lined up but we can't say who at the moment. The way the transfer system is - with regard to windows - we have got to be organised. We are in the window and here is a potential chance to take the club forward."

Beattie was suffering from flu according to Kevin Blackwell.
