Snow has fell around the whole country today with schools closed, local transport unavailable, motorways closed and tomorrow it could be the football which will take a turn for the worst. Blackwell has admitted that he'd like to do some business on transfer deadline day but does know that it will be difficult to agree deals.

He said: "It's Sod's Law that the worst weather of the winter concides with one of our longest trips. We were due to fly down to Southampton Airport but that was closed so we switched to travelling by bus. Then Southampton was re-opened but Doncaster Airport closed!

"Now we are setting off by road and are perhaps faced with an eight or nine hour coach trip, possibly for nothing."

Blackwell describes the latest situation involving trasnfer on this final day:

"It makes i very difficult now because it is almost impossible to do anything by phone when you are on the coach dealing with agents, manager and chairman.

"We would have left a lot later and I would have been better able to try and do business, but I will do whatever I can. We are well aware that we have two big games coming up, along with the FA Cup tie, and we need more bodies especially with some players very close to suspension."
