Born on 22 January 1977 the Japanese Midfielder came to Italy's Premier League (Siera A) with Parma in the late 1990's and eventually joined Bolognia before his current club Fiorentina.

It was believed that the Blades had tabled a 1.4 MILLION bid for Nakata and although this bid may have been accepted by the Italian club United where forced to pull out of the deal when they learnt that his wages would be too demanding for the Championship club.
