Brayford, 26 was signed by Cardiff City from previous club Derby County in the summer for £1,500,000 but has only featured in the Capital One Cup this season for the Bluebirds. Formely with Nigel Clough at Pride Park he may push for a loan move to Bramall Lane despite avid interest from Championship trio Blackpool, AFC Bournemouth and Ipswich Town.
In Clough's post match interview following the Blades 2-2 home draw with Yorkshire rivals Bradford City last Saturday he suggested that he unsuccessfully attempted to bring in two loan players but hoped to complete this, this week.
