The former Blades Youth Training System (YTS) player had keen interest from Steel City rivals Sheffield Wednesday but Davies refused a loan move, however it appears that the Sheffield born striker is surplus to requirements at Friends Provident St Mary's Stadium.
Neil Warnock is a huge fan of the Blades fan and has tried to sign Davies on two occasions but failed due to a doggy agent.
Newly promoted Portsmouth are also reported to be interested but if the Blades are promoted then Davies could favour a move back to the North.
