The Blades were handed a bye in teh first round of the competition and flew straight into the second round phase. The pair met in last seasons competition at Bramall Lane with Hartlepool winning by one goal to nil - it was also the final straw in David Weir's reign and as a result of this loss was dismissed of his duties.
The tie will be played week commencing 6th October.
