Blades fans best in Championship

Last updated : 23 March 2008 By Jamie Furniss
An average of 25,000 United supporters turn out to every home game and cheer their team on. Last season the Blades finished 11th in the Premiership best fans table. Considering there's teams like Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea then that is a great feat.

Around 16,000 season ticket holders this season and and average 7,000 single tickets sold every home game is currently better than 2nd place Norwich.

Norwich have an average attendance of 24,000 and 3rd place Wolves have an average attendance of 23,000. Rivals Sheffield Wednesday lie 8th and have an average attendance of 20,000.

Colchester, Scunthorpe and Blackpool have the worst considering their grounds and support base. So lets keep getting behind Blackie and the lads and see where it takes us. Praise to every Blades fan who turns up to the games.
