Blades Net Sharp Deal

Sharp, 21 was sold to Scunthorpe United by Sheffield United in August 2005 for a sum of £100,000. He rewarded his club by netting 32 goals last season as the Iron ran loose on the League One table and won promotion to the Championship as Champions.

The former Rushden loan star had previous made two appearances for the Blades as a substitute against Watford (D 1-1) and Wolverhampton Wanderers (L 4-2) during the 2004-05 season.

The deal, believed to be worth £2,000,000 takes Jonathan Forte to Glanford Park. Forte, 20 has spent all his time at Sheffield United shipped out on loan to Rotherham United and mostly Doncaster Rovers since he joined in August 2003.

He made his debut as a substitute in an FA Cup tie at Nottingham Forest (W 3-0) in January 2004 and went onto making just two starts (+36) and scored only solo goal at Leicester City (L 3-2) in 2004-05 campaign.
