The first team don't start playing until just under a month so we turn our attention to the Central Masters Football Tournament involving the Blades...

Usually United participate in the Yorkshire Masters with the venue being the Sheffield Arena but this year It's off to Nottingham where we will take part in the Central Masters on Sunday.

The teams of Nottingham Forest, Derby, Leicester, Notts County, Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United will all battle it out for a place in the Grand Final to be held at the NEC Arena in Birmingham.

Occasionally only four teams participate but the Central Masters will have six. Regular participants for United are Simon Tracey, Adrian Littlejohn, Carl Bradshaw and many other famous faces.

last year was a very dull one in the competition as the Blades occupied bottom spot with Rotherham winning the Yorkshire tournament. United's results from last year were the following:

Rotherham United 4-2 Sheffield United
Sheffield United 3-2 Leeds United
Sheffield Wednesday 4-2 Sheffield United

Last years Grand Final winners Leicester City will be no pushover what so ever as they will face the Blades in a tough tournament.
