The Blades have been landed a television fixture against West Bromwich Albion, who failed to win promotion last season after losing to Derby County in the Play-Off Final at Wembley.
United are scheduled to face Albion on 25 August 2007, the game will remain on this date but with a new kick-off time of 5:20pm.
Meanwhile the Blades will travel to Bristol City and Stoke City on 6 October and 10 November, again with a 5:20pm kick-off.
