Freeman, 21 is a Wales youth international and has featured against the Blades this season whilst on loan at Nott's County, his last game for the Magpies was their 6-0 humiliation at Rotherham United last weekend.
Having not featured in the FA Cup this season he will be eligable to face Charlton Athletic this Sunday - he will be on loan to the Bramall Lane club until 5 April.
