Gerrard, 33 was released by Sheffield United last season but has today agreed to sign a twelve month contact with the Bramall Lane club
Last season the former Goodison Park shot stopper played twice in the Premier League against Middlesbrough and Portsmouth whilst he also was picked between the sticks against Swansea City in the FA Cup whilst Paddy Kenny and Ian Bennett were injured.
