Rahim Ouedraogo however is looking for a move away from Twentre after only playing eight games last season for the club.
"Rahim has been given permission to go on trial, because we have already several good midfielders," said Twente general manager Johan Plageman
"If one of those midfielders would leave the club, we can sign players for those positions.
"Therefore he has got three days to impress the Championship club Sheffield United."
Meanwhile the Blades have rejected an offer from Scunthorpe United to take Billy Sharp on loan.
