The loan window closes today and Blades boss Kevin Blackwell has hurriedly brought the Finn from the capital up to Sheffield. His loan expires on the 23rd December 2009.
Andrew Davies' loan spell from Stoke City runs out on the 19th, while Matt Kilgallon has been subject of speculation linking him with Newcastle United. Kallio, 33-years-old, can play left-back if needed.
Kevin Blackwell commented: "He is a big, strong player and the reports we have had on him playing for Fulham Reserves suggest that he has done quite well."
