Bramall Lane set to host rugby games?

By Bladesmadeditor
Saturday, 10th October 2009
The Sheffield Star is reporting that Sheffield Eagles, the Co-Operative Championship Rugby League outfit, are in negotiations with Sheffield United FC about possibly playing their home clashes at Beautiful Downtown Bramall Lane...
DSCF0509.JPGThe Eagles currently play their trade at the Don Valley Stadium, the home of Rotherham United FC too. The Sheffield Star has exclusively revealed that they believe that talks are 'well advanced'.

It is possible that the Eagles will begin playing their home ties at Bramall Lane, the home of SHEFFIELD UNITED, next year.

An article in today's newspaper, says, 'Nothing has yet been finalised but should they reach a positive conclusion, an official announcement could well be made by the end of the month.'

The pitch's state may be a concern if the city's rugby team make the switch from S9 to S2. Blades fans may be disappointed to hear the news of the possible move. Bramall Lane is where SHEFFIELD UNITED play afterall.
