Charlton heaped the pressure on Birmingham in a goalless encounter in the capital. Maik Taylor parried Lloyd Sam's effort on to the post whilst Zheng Zhi missed a sitter from close-range.

The Blues' point down at Charlton sees them return to 2nd place although they are now only one point in front of the Red and White Wizards. Brum's next game is against hot-shot Plymouth on Easter Monday whilst the Blades are of course entertaining Nottingham Forest. Forest sealed a 3:2 success over Bristol City today (Saturday) and Plymouth hit four past Coventry at Home Park.

And finally, just to point out, United will finish at least in the play-offs as there aren't enough games left for the Blades to drop out of them, not like it was going to happen.
