Gary Speed has made his first signing as Sheffield United manager by landing French full-back Jean Calve on a season-long loan. The 26-year-old arrives from French top-flight side AS Nancy and could make his debut at home to Preston on Saturday. "Jean not only adds to our squad strength but he has attacking qualities we want and think we can accommodate in the team," said Speed.
