Centre-back in Leeds talks

1234017995_spt_ai_sheffutdvsheffwed_20BBC Radio Leeds are reporting that the Dewsbury born 29-year-old is on the brink of putting pen to paper at fierce rivals and League One outfit Leeds United. If Leigh can agree personal terms, this leaves the Blades incredibly short of cover at the back. Only Chris Morgan and Matt Kilgallon are United's recognised centre-backs.

Bromby signed a two-year-deal at Bramall Lane just a month ago after a successful loan spell. The move has come to somewhat a surprise to Unitedites with the rumours circulating Matt Kilgallon and with the transfer window shutting down very shortly.

Bromby's probable departure is on the same day as David Carney's and Justin Haber's releases.
