Sheffield United will face a top flight relegated side for the second season running, with Birmingham the hosts at St Andrews just under a year ago. The curtain raiser this time around will occur at The Riverside Stadium.
The intriguing Steel City Derby always throws up interesting and entertaining games, this season the first is at Bramall Lane on the 19th September 2009, and the return fixture at Hillsborough is the third to last game of the campaign, on the 17th April 2010. The last time Utd faced Wednesday on home soil first, they gained promotion to the Premiership and overcame the Owls twice.
Our Boxing Day fixture sees us travel to Leicester, and the final game being a long away trip to Portman Road. Kevin Blackwell's men will encounter Newcastle on Halloween and on a Monday night, the 5th April 2010.
