Mark Noble (45) acted quickest to Chris Morgan's headed pass back to chip over Paddy Kenny after Lee Johnson pumped forward; before Alan Quinn ran through to strike the post when he looked like levelling.
In the second half, with twenty minutes remaining Noble crossed for Michael McIndoe to rise unchallenged and head into the back of the net. The performance was unarguably poor and City deserved all three points on the day.
