A three-team-tournament was penned in on Saturday 18th July 2009 in Budapest, the capital of Hungary where sister side Ferencvaros are based. Adverse weather conditions called the tournament off as kick-off was approaching for the first game.
The club admit that the communication with the United fans crammed into the Albert Florian Stadion wasn't good enough. A statement on the official site reads:
'We acknowledge the fact that communication on the day to those fans in the stadium could have been much better, and we will take measures to ensure that for all future overseas matches a better system is in place.'
