Speed who says he is still concentrating on being a professional footballer says he would like to become a coach at Sheffield United.

He said:"I haven't really thought about the coaching aspect at the moment, although i did take a session ot two in Hungary. I haven't got too long left as a footballer so i intend to concentrate on playing at the moment.

"If the opportunities to coach present themselves then i will be delighted, although it mustn't interfere with my playing position.

"I thank the gaffer for his support and the chances i have had to date. With starting my pro license the bits of coaching i am doing something that will be key to me."

The Welshman who looks at expectations for next season said:"I have got a contract to play next season and that is my aim. I will have to see how the body is bearing up, but i am enjoying it here as much as i have done anywhere else.

"I have reached an age where i appreciate things more, and i'm just pleased to be out there training and playing."
