Dubbed the 'Coca-Cola Kid' after Brighton & Hove Albion won £100,000 in a competition ran by the Football League sponsors; with the money the Seagulls purchased Kazim-Richards from Bury.
The 20 year old signed for the Blades last Thursday for £150,000 after a fallout with the Withdean club and is looking to impress his new employers and make his debut when the Blades face Blackburn Rovers at Bramall Lane this Saturday.
"I'm working hard to be in contention for the Blackburn game," Kazim-Richards told sufc.co.uk.
"If I'm not involved, I won't be too disappointed because I'd have only been here for just over a week.
"I want to play in The Premiership, settle down and get into the side. It's a long season, so hopefully I can play my part for United."
