The Blades ended up drawing the derby at Barnsley 2:2 with a brace from Darius Henderson, but bad news came out of the United camp that Andrew Davies had picked up a hip injury.

This means that the 24-year-old played for roughly 60 minutes whilst suffering pain from the injury. Kevin Blackwell, the Blades' injury-troubled boss, confirms that the centre-back's injury could force him sit out for up to six weeks, which would surpass his loan-spell, which would lead to him returning to Staffordshire.

Blackwell said: "It could be a four to six-week job. If that is the case, he'll go back and finish here because his loan has only got five weeks left."

Sheffield United, though, could still make a move for Davies in January.
