On the 7th August legends from both England and Germany will battle it out for the Derek Dooley Memorial Cup and legendary Blades striker Brian Deane is to don on the shirt of the Three Lions again.

Deane who scored the first ever Premiership goal said: "It is going to be a fantastic occasion and a fitting tribute to Derek Dooley, a fine man who I had a very good relationship with.

"It is also going to be great to take the Bramall Lane pitch once again - after I first joined Sheffield United in 1988 those five years were some of the happiest of my career. It was great to be part of such as successful team under Dave Bassett who really let me express myself as a young player.

"In fact, the three times I played for the England national team was while I was at Bramall Lane. I am going to spend the next month getting fit to make sure I give a good account of myself against what will be a competitive Germany side."
