Dickov on Hit List
Updated Friday, 10th May 2013
Former Manchester City striker Paul Dickov is amongst the list of candidates who could take over the reins at Sheffield United but face stiff completion from Doncaster Rovers and Millwall for his signature.
Dickov, 40 is currently a free agent after being relieved of his duties at Oldham Athletic a few months ago but is wanted by manager less Sheffield United, Millwall and Doncaster Rovers, with the latter deemed favourites to appoint the former striker as manager.
New Sheffield United chief executive Julian Winter has expressed that there are a list of seven candidates who the Blades consider as possible management material at Bramall Lane. Naturally the list wouldn’t be made public but it is understood that Chris Morgan and Oxford United boss Chris Wilder are amongst the names.
Whoever is successor to Danny Wilson next season will have a tough job in returning to the Championship.
