Chris Marsden (right) blocks a David Beckham (left) cross in a game against Manchester United last season at Old Trafford.
"Chris Marsden and we have agreed on all conditions and it is only matter of time before we sign the papers," said Icons team official Jo Jae-hyung.

"Sooner or later he will visit Korea and sign a contract."

Marsden who was a trainee with the Blades and played 16 games during 1987-88 season says he will not renew his St Mary's contract which runs out in June.

Saints manager Gordon Strachan hoped that he would stay until his deal ends; "As far as I know Chris is going to South Korea," Strachan said last week.

"I kept asking him why he wanted to go there but he has made up his mind that this is what he wants to do."

Marden joined Southampton 1999 from Birmingham City and has made the left midfield his own ever since, he also helped the club reach FA Cup final last season only to lose 1-0.

The manager of Busan Icons is former Chelsea and Sheffield United man Ian Porterfield.
