Gary Speed WAS 1/3 odds on favourite

Gary Speed is Kevin Blackwell's probable successor

Skybet were offering odds on a host of managers who are currently in and out of jobs to take the reins at Sheffield United after Kevin Blackwell's exit. Gary Speed, who became a coach at Bramall Lane after finishing his playing career here, was declined the chance to speak to Swansea in the summer, and now looks poised to become the new permanent manager of Sheffield United.

Now, betting has seemingly been suspended, but Blades Mad caught all of the odds before they were taken offline. The odds are below, and Blades Mad have highlighted in bold the managers we believe could do the business at Bramall Lane.

Gary Speed 1/3
Phil Brown 4/1
Sean O'Driscoll 8/1
Gareth Southgate 12/1
Paul Jewell 12/1

Gus Poyet 16/1
Steve Tilson 20/1
Paul Peschisolido 20/1
Alan Curbishley 25/1
Dean Saunders 25/1
Craig Short 25/1
Alan Cork 25/1
David O'Leary 33/1
Glen Roeder 33/1
Dean Windass 33/1
Simon Grayson 40/1
Keith Curle 40/1
John Barnes 50/1
Neil Warnock 50/1
Alex Sabella 50/1
Chris Kamara 100/1

The odds being taken offline surley indicates something.
