Home shirts to be replaced

The visibility of the sponsor logo has received some criticism lately so United have been forced to replace the new home shirts. Representatives from Malta have informed the Blades about the situation.

The team will be wearing the new shirts with a better visibility of the logo at Pride Park tomorrow. But supporters can't get their hands on the newly improved shirts until October when they will be in store.

Fans who have already purchased the shirt will get the chance to get a free replacement when the shirts are in the Superstore.

Commercial Manager Andy Daykin said: "After much deliberation and consultation with our new sponsors we felt the logo was not visible enough on the home shirts. So, new shirts featuring a stronger more distinctive logo have been ordered.

"We apologise for any inconvenience but trust that supporters will understand the reasons behind this decision. We have spoken to our sponsors and they are happy for us to distribute the shirts to community clubs and charities associated with the Blades."

* Please note that it is only the home shirts that are getting replaced.
