Injury calamity is 'ridiculous'

446151-1The injury crisis at the Lane is beginning to get silly now, and Kevin Blackwell, the Blades boss, is also getting frustrated with the infinite amount of injured players. Ched Evans bagged a brace for Wales' Under 21's at the weekend, but has returned back to Sheffield early with him sustaining an unfortunate injury.

Kevin Blackwell elaborates more the injury: "Ched has come back here to undergo his rehabilitation, Blackie told The Sheffield Star.

"He's working with us but didn't train with the rest of the boys yesterday.

"It's too early to say exactly what is the extent of the problem at the moment.

"But, of course, it's another one we could have done without.

"I'm going to have to see what the situation is. If there is no chance of any of the lads being back then I'm going to have to try to bring somebody in because we'll be down to our last 13.

"Thursday is going to be important - that will be when we decide - because we should have a better idea by then.

"It's getting ridiculous really but there isn't anything we can do. It's just down to bad luck.

"We'll know more later in the week. Until then we'll just have to try and get those who might have a chance ready."
