Sheffield United finished 7th in the table despite being in the bottom four at the beginning of February as well as reaching the FA Cup Semi-Final, losing to Hull City by five goals to three scored under manger Nigel Clough who took charge in October following the sacking of former boss David Weir.

But Oldham Athletic boss Lee Johnson believes that with the right signings the Blades and Clough and go to a all new level next season and perhaps take (we hope) the league by storm. “Sheffield United are a big club. In Nigel Clough, they now have a manager to take them to the next level. They are two or three players short of doing very well in the Championship. With a few summer signings, they could be unstoppable in this division next term.” He said.

Currently the Blades are 6/1 to be crowned Champions of League One in 2014-15 - a title they have never claimed during their 125 year history.
