The former Bury and Whitby Town shot stopper has been out of action for four months with a knee injury and played 30 minutes in the game against the Stags, Steve Kabba was also due to play but wasn't risked.
A club spokesman said: "Paddy came through 30 minutes OK and did well, while Neil thought it was maybe a bit early to bring Steve back."
