Sheffield United remain as one of the bookies' favourites for promotion this season, but we give you an insight and our thoughts on the teams which stand in the way of an immediate return to the second tier for Danny Wilson's men.

First of all is Bournemouth.

Bournemouth

2010/2011: The Cherries had an incredible 2010/2011 campaign considering the departure of highly-rated manager Eddie Howe to Burnley. Howe left the Cherries in third place, and they were then under the leadership of Lee Bradbury, who continued in similar vein as his predecessor, leading the Dorset side to 6th - a play-off place. After drawing 1:1 with third placed Huddersfield in the first-leg at Dean Court, the scoreline was 2:2 (3:3 on aggregate) after 90 minutes at the Galpharm. One goal for each side in extra time forced a penalty shoot-out, seeing Huddersfield victorious, leaving the Cherries with nothing to show in what was a monumental season.

How will they fair this season? Bournemouth have some very good players on their books. Strikers Dean Lovell, Danny Ings and club legend Steve Fletcher all have an eye for goal. I predict they will have another very strong campaign under Lee Bradbury, as long as they keep hold of their better players.

Blades Mad's 2011/2012 predicted finish: 6th

Best odds for promotion: 9/1

Star player: Danny Ings
