2010/2011: I'm sure, by their own admission, last season was a disappointing one as far as the Addicks are concerned. The South London club undoubtedly underachieved by finishing in the 13th place. Phil Parkinson was given the boot in January, despite Charlton lying nicely in 5th place. Chris Powell was Parkinson's replacement, and his rein got off to the best start possible winning his first four games as manager, although it was all downhill from there, winning only two of his next 19 games.

How will they fair this season? The Addicks have made promising steps by signing some decent players for this level. Danny Green and Paul Hayes have both arrived at The Valley, whilst Bradley Wright-Phillips and Paul Benson will both be hoping for a prolific campaign up top. I believe they will be one of the three sides to get promotion.

Blades Mad's 2011/2012 predicted finish: 2nd

Best odds for promotion: 11/4

Star player: Bradley Wright-Phillips
