Blades defender Chris Lucketti has joined Southampton for the rest of the season.
On Thursday evening the Blades and the Saints did the deal but there appeared to be a problem with documentation at the Football Legaue.
Today (Friday) the Football League allowed the deal to go through. Southampton had sent through the forms just in time.
Blades boss Kevin Blackwell said:"We are desperately sorry to see Chris go but this is a great oppourtunity for him to play 1st team football.
Lucketti's last game was aganst Crystal Palace in December. He is likely to go straight into the squad for tomorrow's (Saturday's) game with Cardiff City.
He will be with the Saints until the end of the season.
