Match Preview: Blades v Millwall

Last updated : 01 March 2004 By @blades_mad1889

The Blades last game was away at Reading, United got off to a great start when Andy Gray netted a 10th minute debut goal but a Nicky Shorey free-kick leveled things off before Shaun Goater scored from the spot kick. Ashley Ward headed against the post late on the game as the Blades were denied a deserved point.

Blades new signing Andy Gray (from Bradford) should make his home debut after scoring his goal for the club against Reading while Sasa Ilic will be left out unless Neil Warnock brakes his duck and puts a keeper on the substitutes bench.

After two disappointing games we believe Mike Whitlow could be dropped for Colin Cryan. Whitlow was sent off earlier on in the 1-0 midweek win over Crewe while conceding the penalty at Reading.

Striker Dean Sturridge (ankle and knee) is defiantly out while Jonathan Forte (ankle) and Stuart McCall (back) are doubtful. Jack Lester could return for the Blades.

One-to-Watch: Paul Ifill
Last Saturday Millwall claimed all three points against Stan Ternant's Burnley at the New Den, Paul Ifill and Peter Sweeney were on the score sheet in a 2-0 win.

Former Brentford striker Mark McCammon has recently recovered from a broken ankle and should have been fit for tomorrow's clash but has since been ruled out after being struck down with swollen glands.

Neil Harris is expected to start alongside Paul Ifill or John Sutton while Danny Dichio and David Livermore returns from a one match suspension.
