United go into the game having beaten Leicester City 4-1 in front of Sky TV. The Blades took the lead via a Andy Gray penalty after keeper Rab Douglas unheeded Paul Ifill in the box.

David Connolly leveled the score five minutes after the break before the Blades went on a goal scoring run with three in the last nine minutes. Steve Kabba slotted home his penalty on 81 before Ifill headed home from Keith Gillespie's cross two minutes later and Leigh Bromby made in four in the last minute.

United went through the game without any injury's, apart from a head injury sustained to captain Chris Morgan but he should be fit to face Burnley. Meanwhile Defender Craig Short will sit out the last of his three game suspension and could make his debut in next Saturday's trip to QPR.

The Clarets lost there Championship curtain-raiser 2-1 at Crewe Alexandra despite equalising. Billy Jones had put Crewe ahead just before the break but the visitors bounced back with a Gifton Noel-Williams header on 67. The Alex claimed there win in the last minute via a David Vaughan 20 yard sucker punch.

Steve Coterill had new signing Danny Karbassiyoon missing, the left-sided Defender who joined for free from FA Cup winners Arsenal sat out the 2-1 loss with an hip injury and is likely to miss the clash against the Blades as well.

Also missing for the Clarets is Micah Hyde (hamstring), the former Watford Midfielder played in a few friendly's for United in their pre-season 2004 before joining the Lancashire club. Michael Duff (knee) and Wade Elliott (groin) are also doubts for their first home game of the season.
