Everton v Sheffield United
After a decent start to the Premiership campaign the Toffees find themselves a respectable 7th with 13 points claimed after only eight games. However they will be desperate to claim maximum points after falling foul at Middlesbrough last Saturday.

Yakubu started the ball rolling when he converted a penalty on 27 minutes with Mark Viduka scoring on 71 having previously squandered his spot kick. Australian international Tim Cahill gave the Evertonians some hope six minutes later but the Boro hung to to claim their second win of the season.

David Moyes will miss five key players in the match against the Blades, the most notable absentee being Alexandro Pistone, the former Newcastle United defender is out with a calf injury and has yet to be set a return date.

Others players missing are; Tony Hibbert (groin), Gary Naysmith (knee), Leon Osman (hip) and Alan Stubbs (knee).

Possible Toffees Line-Up: Tim Howard, Joleon Lescott, Phil Neville, Joseph Ikpo Yobo, David Weir, Jorge Pereira Silva Nuno Valente, Tim Cahill, Mikel Amatrain Arteta, Simon Davies, Lee Carsley, Andrew Johnson.

Sheffield United claimed a valuable point against Manchester City last Saturday despite failing to strike the net - the home side didn't either and the score draw was welcomed with Rob Hulse smashing the bar late on in the first half.

United are expected to name the same squad that beat Middlesbrough 2-1 and drew at the City of Manchester Stadium with only Nick Montgomery as the Blades only absentee.

Montgomery has been suffering with an ankle injury but has return early to training and played the full 90 minutes in the Blades 2-1 home defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League Reserve fixture on Tuesday and could make the substitutes bench against Everton.

Should they play a part in the game then the Blades will be fielding three former Everton players; listed below are the players which include statistics made whilst at the Goodison Park club.
