The Blades eventually won the game 4-3 from penalties after ending the game 0-0 with Stephen Quinn netting the vital winning spot kick.

Despite making 10 chances to the game at Gay Meadow Neil Warnock is likely to stick with the squad that beat Watford 3-2 last Saturday.

However striker Vincent Pericard will be keen to make the side after his loan move from Portsmouth over a week ago whilst Danny Webber has returned to the fold after recovering from injury.

KOZZIE: Playing for Derby County in 1998.
One notable Blades player the Rams fans will recognise will be Robert Kozluk. After coming through the youth ranks at Pride Park in 1997 the Mansfield born defender went onto play 14 (+ 8 as sub) appearances before, in March 1999 was transferred to Bramall Lane as part of a swap deal with Jonathan Hunt who went in place of Vasillios Borbokis.

Meanwhile, out of the picture Craig Short also represented the club when they was at the Baseball Ground. He played during 1992 to 1995 after signing for 2.5M from Nott's County, he eventually played 143 times and scored 9 goals.

Possible Blades Line-Up: Paddy Kenny, Rob Kozluk, Leigh Bromby, Chris Morgan, David Unsworth, Paul Ifill, Alan Quinn, Nick Montgomery, Phil Jagielka, Niel Shipperley, Steven Kabba.

The Rams, who drew with Southampton 2-2 at Pride Park last Sunday to take them to 9th place in the Championship.

It is likely that manager Phil Brown will stick with the side that drew with the Saints, though Defender Richard Jackson and former Blades midfielder Paul Thirlwell are rated at 50/50 to make the game.

Thirlwell was snapped up by Neil Warnock in summer 2004 on a free transfer from Sunderland and left for the Derbyshire club this summer. During his one season he played 28 (+ 8 as sub) time and scored once in a 3-3 home draw thriller against Wolves.

Former Crystal Palace Defender Marc Edworthy will be missing for the visitors, the former Wolves man is currently suffering from a broken rib and will be out for a while.

It is however likely that the opposition will play a 4-5-1 formation with Stern John up front, which means former Blade striker Paul Peschisolido will be resigned to the bench.

Possible Rams Line-Up: Lee Camp, Michael Johnson, Mo Konjic, Andrew Davies, Seth Johnson, Peter Whittingham, Morten Bisgaard, Inigo Idiakez, Khalilou Fadiga, Tommy Smith, Stern John.

Blades-Mad Prediction: Sheffield United 2-0 Derby County.
