Sheffield United will be an unknown quantity this season; as a newly promoted side they are naturally placed as favourites to return to the Championship.

Nether the less United will give it their all and in Neil Warnock have made eight signings; Mikele Lighertwood, David Sommiel, Claude Davis, Christian Nade, Ian Bennett, Li Tie and Rob Hulse.

Neil Warnock could hand a debut to France Under-21 international striker Christian Nade, though probably would start on the bench though could turn to Adi Akinbiyi.

United have so far only played pre-season friendlies unlike their opposition who has entered into Europe and beaten the reigning Premier League Champions in the Community Shield.

The visitors could give a debut to new signing Dirk Kuyk. The Dutchman who impressed in this years World Cup signed for the Reds last Thursday, beating off Newcastle for his signature. However it is likely that the forward will start on the bench.
