The Blades lost 2-1 at Blackburn Rovers with Jon Stead cancelling out Morton Gamst Pedersen's timely header before the Norwegian curled in a free-kick in the last minute.

Sheffield United are unlikely to name a unchanged side to that which lost at Ewood Park but could call upon the services of Keith Gillespie who completed a three match suspension following his sending off at Reading.

Neil Warnock will see four players out of his first team squad; Mikele Leigertwood (ankle), Ian Bennett (fractured finger), Claude Davis (knee) and Matthew Kilgallon (ankle) will all miss the game against Spurs but could be back in training before the visit to Liverpool on 24 Feburuary.

The Blades could chose to field Egyptian international Ahmed Fathi, who scored his County's second goal in a 2-0 win over Sweden last Wednesday - it will be his debut if he does.

Possible Blades Line-Up: Paddy Kenny, Derek Geary, Phil Jagielka, Chris Lucketti, Chris Armstrong, Stephen Quinn, Michael Tonge, Nick Montgomery, Colin Kazim-Richards, Rob Hulse, Jon Stead.

Totten Hotspur go into the game after a humiliating 4-0 defeat to Manchester United last Sunday at White Hart Lane. It took some time before the Red Devils took the lead but did so 45 minutes when Ronaldo appeared to have dived, he picked himself up and slotted home.

United extended their lead through Vidic (48) and Paul Scholes (54) before the long serving Welsh Wing Wizard Ryan Giggs (77) capped off a fine win.

The Spurs will line-up without five of their key players; Teemu Tainio (ankle), Ledley King (foot), Lee Bernard (ankle), Dorian Dervite (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) and Jermaine Jenas (ankle).

Possible Spurs Line-Up: Paul Robinson, Young-Pyo Lee, Tom Huddlestone, Pascal Chimbonda, Michael Dawson, Anthony Gardener, Didier Zakora, Aaron Lennon, Steed Malbranque, Jermaine Defoe, Dimitar Berbatov.
