The Owls are facing a injury crisis with four players out missing. Former Burnley defender Drissa Diallo (hamstring) is estimated to be out for six weeks after suffering the knock in their 2-1 defeat at Coventry City last Wednesday night.

Diallo's Centre-Half partner Richard Wood is also missing with a groin strain whilst former Rotherham United striker Deon Burton (hamstring) will also sit out this crutial Derby game.

Keeper David Lucas (knee ligament) will not feature, though Owls boss Paul Sturrock is keen to move into the loan market and is rumoured to be chasing Scott Carson from Liverpool.

Possible Owls Line-Up: Chris Adamson, Peter Gilbert, Frankie Simek, Lee Bullen, Chris Brunt, Graham Coughlan, Yoann Folly, Burton O'Brien, Glenn Whelan, Steven MacLean, Barry Corr.

The Blades go into the game after a glorious 1-1 draw with league leaders Reading, Bruce Dyer netted a debut goal 9 minites into the game but Kitson levelled soon after. Chris Morgan saw his diving headed goal disallowed whilst Paddy Kenny denied the visitors a win in the last minute with a superb penalty save.

United could see last minute changes to his side after former owl Leigh Bromby and Craig Short limped off during the draw with the Royals on Tuesday night. It could mean Robert Kozluk is restored to the squad with Phil Jagielka moving into defence and Garry Flitcroft handed a full debut in Midfield.

Midfielder Nick Montgomery is also facing a fitness test before the big game and could see himself replaced with either Flitcroft or new signing Geoff Horsfield who will be gunning for a place since his loan move from West Bromwich Albion.

Former Owl Alan Quinn could also return as could Danny Webber as they look to shake off their injuries, however full-back David Unsworth completes the last of his three game suspension.

Possible Blades Line-Up: Paddy Kenny, Robert Kozluk, Craig Short, Chris Morgan, Chris Armstrong, Keith Gillespie, Michael Tonge, Phil Jagielka, Paul Ifill, Neil Shipperley, Steven Kabba.
